FAMILY HELP · UPDATED OCTOBER 2026
Answers for your family.
Quick help with practice, games, parent controls, and your plan.
Getting started & signing in
Where should we start?
Parents create the family account and child profiles. The first-use App guide introduces practice, progress, rewards, and family controls. Children start on Today with five questions. Reopen App guide from the account or child menu whenever you need it.
Do parents and children use the same login?
No. Parents use their email and parent password. Children use their own nickname and child password or access code provided by a parent. Keep the parent password private. Parents can manage child access from the family dashboard.
Can we use the iOS app and website together?
The iOS app uses the same family account and hosted learning service as the website. Sign in to the same account to see saved work. An internet connection is required. A practice session left unfinished is saved on that device for up to 24 hours; it is not a cross-device session transfer.
Which grades and subjects can my child practice?
Reading practice follows school grade in grades 3–10. FAST Math covers grades 3–8. Science practice is available in grades 5 and 8. Algebra 1 and Geometry EOC practice follows course enrollment, including middle school and grades 11–12. Choose school grade and math course separately when creating or editing a profile.
Can my middle-school child practice Algebra 1 or Geometry?
Yes. Choose school grade and math course separately. Reading follows grades 3–10; Algebra 1 and Geometry EOC practice follows the selected course, including grades 11–12. Parents can change these tracks in Settings.
Short practice, lessons & games
How do we keep practice short?
Open Practice and choose Start my five questions. To focus on something specific, expand Choose a subject or skill. Reasoning challenges and test tools are optional. Full test practice is a separate, longer activity; it is not required for the daily routine.
How do children unlock games?
Complete five daily practice questions to unlock Coastline Dash, Reef Rescue, and Wildlife Watch. Every completed question counts, even when the answer is wrong. The Today screen shows progress toward the daily goal. Games do not require a separate purchase.
What are stars and adventure friends?
Children earn stars through practice and use them in the Star shop for available friends and styles. Stars are in-app rewards, not money. A friend’s availability and star cost appear in the shop.
What happens after a wrong answer?
Children can read the explanation, try again for learning, or open a relevant lesson. A learning retry does not change the original saved answer or award extra stars. Lessons are also available from the menu without getting a question wrong first.
Is the practice adaptive?
Saved answers help guide future practice, and parents can choose a skill for their child. Children can start a recommended five-question set or choose a subject and skill. Difficulty estimates are provisional; this is independent practice, not a reproduction of Florida’s testing or scoring system.
How is this different from worksheets or a generic practice test?
Students work in grade-specific reading and math activities with hints, explanations, and a saved record of completed work. Parents can review skills and sessions for each child. Worksheets can also be useful; the added value here is the connection between practice and the parent view.
Parent controls, progress & privacy
What can parents manage?
Use Overview for a next step, Focus areas to choose practice, and Sessions to review completed work. Settings contains child practice tracks, access controls, email options, and parent Account management. Billing & cancellation contains plan details.
How do I reset my parent password?
Choose Forgot parent password? on parent sign-in, or Reset parent password under Settings → Account management. Request a code at your parent email, then enter that code and a new password. Use at least eight characters with uppercase and lowercase letters and a number. Child access codes are managed separately.
How do I delete my account and family data?
Sign in as a parent, open Settings → Account management, and choose Delete account & family data. Type the exact lowercase word delete and enter your current parent password. This permanently removes the parent account and all child profiles and linked progress, rewards, plans, uploaded reports, and support messages. You are signed out immediately; removal usually takes a few minutes and retries automatically. Recurring billing is canceled during removal; past purchases are not automatically refunded. Payment-provider transaction records, security logs, and backups may remain under their retention policies. Read the privacy notice for more detail.
What information should my child share?
Use a nickname, grade, and parent-managed child password or access code. Please do not enter a child’s full name or school. There are no public child profiles or open chat. Parents control family profiles and available email updates.
Will the dashboard tell me my child’s FAST score?
No. It reports work completed in this app: answers, skills practiced, and session history. A missed question can suggest what to review, but it cannot establish a learning difficulty or predict an official score. Use school reports and your child’s teacher for that wider picture.
Who writes the questions, and how is AI used?
Florida Fast Prep provides original questions organized by grade, skill, and benchmark. AI assists with parent-facing practice summaries and skill lessons; children do not have an open AI chat. We do not claim FDOE approval, independent curriculum certification, or guaranteed score gains. If a question looks wrong, send its wording and grade through Support so it can be checked.
Trial, plans & support
What happens during the free month?
Create a parent account and a child profile. Practice, lessons, rewards, and parent progress are available for up to 30 days, ending no later than June 15, 2027. No card is required. The trial never charges you automatically.
How much does it cost after the trial?
Choose Single Child for one child or Family for up to five. Current plans are one-time purchases for the remaining 2026–27 academic year, through June 15, 2027, with no automatic renewal or summer access. Review the current price and coverage on Pricing and at checkout before purchasing.
How do I cancel?
Open Billing & cancellation in your family dashboard. An earlier recurring subscription has a Cancel subscription button; confirm to stop renewal while keeping access through the displayed end date. Current academic-year plans are one-time purchases with no automatic renewal, so nothing needs to be canceled. For a charge or refund question, choose billing help.
What if something does not work?
Open Support for sign-in, child access, practice, or billing help. If you send a ticket, include the page, device, grade, and what happened. Do not include passwords, child access codes, payment-card information, or a child’s full name.
Understanding FAST
What is the Florida FAST assessment?
FAST means Florida Assessment of Student Thinking. It is the state’s Reading and Mathematics progress-monitoring assessment. Your school administers the official assessments and provides the results; Florida Fast Prep is separate at-home practice.
What are Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards?
B.E.S.T. means Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking. The standards describe knowledge and skills by grade or course. Our questions carry intended benchmark labels so you can see what the practice targets; those labels do not mean state endorsement.
Does this replace PM1, PM2, or PM3?
No. Those are the school’s official FAST progress-monitoring assessments. Our practice can be used between school assessments, but it is not an official form, a replica of the state’s adaptive test, or a substitute for school testing.
