We’ve crossed 50,000 original practice questions. We’re proud of that number, and of the ambition behind it: to build something substantial, useful, and full of care for Florida families.
We love Florida. We love its energy, its wild places, its small towns and busy neighborhoods. We love that there are so many different ways to grow up here. Building for this state gives the work a purpose we feel personally.
So this entry is a moment to pause, share how the practice bank has grown, and say why we’re excited to keep going.
It started with a practical question
“What should we work on tonight?” That question sits at the heart of Florida FAST Test Prep. A parent sees a missed answer or a school report and wants to help. A child needs another explanation, a fresh example, or a chance to try again. We wanted to build a place where families could take that next step together.
Growing the question bank has meant making more room for those moments: reading passages to think through, math problems to work out, and different ways to return to a skill. The journey has also meant building the tools around the questions, so completed practice becomes something a parent can follow.
Florida is at the heart of it
From the Panhandle to the Keys, families have different routines, different school experiences, and different needs. Some practice at a kitchen table after dinner. Some fit it in between activities. Some need to revisit a grade-level skill; others need Algebra 1 or Geometry practice because that is the course their child is taking.
We want to make something that respects that variety. Something a parent can open and understand. Something a child can explore without feeling that one difficult question defines them. Something teachers can point families toward as an additional way to practice.
Our affection for Florida shows up in the lighter parts, too: Florida characters, earned rewards, and a family expedition about protecting a turtle nest. There is room for curiosity and a little joy alongside the work.
The bank grew. So did the experience around it.
Today, the platform brings together reading and math practice, Algebra 1 and Geometry EOC course banks, hints and explanations, practice assessments, and parent reports. Learning Studio adds ways to investigate an idea, explain the thinking, and come back to fresh work another day.
We’re excited by how those pieces can fit into a family’s routine. A child can try a question. A parent can look at what was completed. Together, they can choose where to spend the next few minutes.
A milestone, with more work ahead
Reaching this size gives us more to offer and more responsibility for the details. We’re continuing to review wording, check answers, adjust difficulty where needed, and improve the experience around the questions. We want to earn a family’s trust through the work they actually use.
That is the passion behind delivering something this big for Florida. We want to put a substantial learning resource within reach of families, then keep showing up to make it better. We want the care to be visible in an explanation, in a useful report, and in a page that works smoothly on a phone.
We’re proud of this milestone. We’re even more excited about what comes next.
Florida, this is for you.
