FLORIDA B.E.S.T. STANDARDS
What does “aligned to B.E.S.T.” actually mean?
B.E.S.T. stands for Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking. The standards describe the knowledge and skills Florida students are expected to learn; an assessment checks part of that learning.

“Math” is a subject. “Multi-digit multiplication” is a skill. A benchmark code points to a particular expectation in Florida’s standards. The app labels questions with an intended grade, skill, and benchmark so you can see what the practice is targeting.
For example, our Grade 4 sample is tagged MA.4.NSO.2.2 and asks a multiplication question. One example does not demonstrate complete coverage of a benchmark or show that a child has mastered it.
What we mean by alignment
Our original questions are organized around intended Florida benchmark coverage. They are not copied from secure state tests. Similar numerical variants may practice the same method, so question counts should not be treated as independent evidence of curriculum breadth.
Alignment is not endorsement. Florida Fast Prep is not affiliated with FDOE and does not claim that its practice predicts official scores.
How we check and update content
Each item has an identifier, intended benchmark, grade, answer and explanation. Automated checks flag missing fields, inconsistent answers, repeated prompts and gaps in practice-form coverage. Those checks do not establish reading complexity or educator approval.
Before a reviewed release, an educator must examine the passage or problem, answer, distractors, explanation and grade-level demand. A review is tied to the exact item version; edited content needs another review. We retain a correction record and check current FDOE blueprints when requirements change.
Current status, September 25, 2026: multiple teachers have reviewed Florida Fast Prep’s content. Teacher feedback is part of our ongoing review and improvement process. New or edited items need review of their current version, and practice forms stay unavailable when they do not meet our coverage checks.
To report a problem, use Support with the question wording, grade and subject. Leave out child names and login details. We reproduce the issue, correct or withdraw the item, run checks and record the reviewed version before including it in a reviewed release.
